We are making a change to app.foundries.io that affects everyone who uses our platform. On July 15, 2026, we will migrate app.foundries.io authentication to a single sign-on (SSO) system managed by Qualcomm. From that date, all users will sign in using a Qualcomm account (Qualcomm ID) rather than their existing Foundries.io credentials.

We wanted to explain why we are making this change, what it means for you in practice, and what you need to do before the migration date.

Why we are doing this

The change brings authentication for app.foundries.io in line with Qualcomm-managed services more broadly, and places your account alongside the wider Qualcomm ecosystem under a single identity model, while also simplifying our security management.

This change makes no other difference to the site functionality, including our support for non-Qualcomm SoCs.

What is changing

Email address, password, and username changes will be managed in the Qualcomm ID portal rather than in app.foundries.io.

After the migration, you will sign in to app.foundries.io using your Qualcomm ID instead of your current Foundries.io account details. Your projects, devices, factories, and data are not affected. This change applies to login only.

What we need from you before the migration

A Qualcomm ID is tied to a single email address, so the most important step is to ensure that email matches the one on your app.foundries.io account. Your Qualcomm ID can be your current Foundries account email address, any new email address you choose, or an existing Qualcomm ID address if you already have one.

Please take the following action before July 15, 2026:

  1. If you already have a Qualcomm ID under a different email address then add that address to your Foundries account at https://app.foundries.io/settings/emails/ then make that your Primary email address.
  2. If you do not yet have a Qualcomm ID, create one at myaccount.qualcomm.com — this can be your current Foundries account email address, in which case no further action is required, or a different email address. If you use a different email address then also follow the instructions in (1) above.

If you do not take this action then you will be locked out of your Foundries account on July 15th. You will then need to contact us and provide us with a Qualcomm ID email address so that we can then update access to your account.

Migration date

The migration will take place on July 15, 2026. Please ensure you have completed the steps above before this date to maintain uninterrupted access to your account.

Finally

If you run into any trouble linking email addresses, or have questions about how this affects your factory or team, please contact us.

Thank you for trusting us with the platform your products run on. The team and I are committed to making this transition as straightforward as possible for you.
